Show your Tikka ten round groups

Can someone educate me as to the reason for favoring 10 round groups vs the more common 3 or 5 round groups that a lot of folks use? And is it 10 consecutive rounds without allowing the barrel to cool?

Thanks!

Awesome…I look forward to diving into this info…thank you!

Another one from today, obviously the best of the day.

Tikka Veil K2 308. 100 yards, 10 rounds. Brand new set up… this was maybe 30 rounds in.

Definitely my best group of the day.

It should also be a non-cherry picked 10rd group. No removing "fliers"

So...just to confirm I am understanding this correctly...using the 1st screenshot in the 1st quote as an example...you would not toss out shot #1? You would zero the rifle using the center of the 10 round group rather than using the center of the 9 round cluster?

Unless I saw that the POA was at the POI when I broke the trigger, yes. Or I would shoot another 10 or 20 to see if it repeats. If it doesn't , I'd throw it out
