2024 AZ lion encounter

I just wanted to share our encounter with 3 lions this January in AZ during the OTC season. These were the first lions I had ever seen and it was amazing experience. Their curiosity made us worry some but their presence also answered our question of why we were seeing many deer.

Nice. Care to say what general area without giving it away?

Here’s my AZ lion from last year. I was calling for javelina and this girl thought I sounded appetizing. 11 yard surprise face to face. Shot her through the neck, then she jumped, did a 180 and hauled ass. Second shot was a steep downward angle, at 120 yards, smashing her leg. She spun in a circle biting at it, then keeled over. It all happened very fast.
