I have and they stand quite well. So well in fact, that I might not be using the x42 again.
Mine are the 8x, though.
With 32mm objectives, the 10x might be a bit lacking in pupil exit diameter.

That’s good to know. It would be the 8’s I would buy also.

love my Swaro 10x32 EL. Great optic lens used these for years but is not the new RF version.
Low light, just before dawns' early light and last evening light, the vision, clarity is exceptionally good.

Don't see the need for range finding binocs when archery hunting, binocs yes, RF Binocs ?
Heck, my rangefinder is 6x magnification. All that's needed for my effective bow range <80yards.
Now rifle hunters, RF Binocs seem a good idea.

Are you comparing 8x32 & 8x42 or 10x42?

8x32 with 8x42. I have not been using 10s for years now as they are harder on my eyes than the 8s which also feel steadier. I prefer the larger field of view and use the spotting scope to see the details.

I'm saw you had the leica 10x32 pro's but didn't like them in low light. I've been eyeing that size in a RFB, are the 10x32 swaros noticeably better in low light? The spec sheets show swaro is 4oz lighter and has a .9 better twilight factor. Light transmission was the same.

10x42's definitely have a better twilight factor and will undoubtedly be better in low light, but are also larger and heavier. Do you get what you need out of the 10x32?

Have not got real nerdy with them and used the AF charts but anecdotally from what I have used off the porch there is a slight improvement in low light. Didnt get them until after the season so jury is still out for me until I get more real world time.

I will say the swaro's are much less finicky for me regarding eye placement.

Curious if anyone has figured this out in the Swarovski "Ballistic" app: is there a way to show drop in mils in the output table view? All I see is MOA or cm. The app seems very easy to use aside from this. My ammo is right there in the drop down list, no need to input BC, velocity, or weight separately. I find it even more strange that I can't find a mils ballistic output since the binos specifically give me drop in mils at the same time as the range reading.

I tried a bunch of the Z8 scopes but still no MIL option. Maybe I’m missing a setting somewhere?

The drop down options I see on a Z8 scope are:

• Elevation / windage in cm
• Elevation / windage in MOA
• Clicks
• Speed/Energy

I used the 10x32 EL Range TA last year for AK Moose ,UT Mule Deer and WI Deer. Could not sell them fast enough after those hunts. I would compare the glass in these to some old Bushnell Bone Collectors.... was not impressed, maybe I just got a bad pair? Low Light capability was horrible and fogged like crazy and image quality was much worse than any other pair of Swaros i have owned (EL, SLC, NLs). Pros were the size and weight on your chest, and RF and Ballistics worked well. I purchased them primary for Bowhunting, and they are the only RF binos that offer a left sided range button for a Lefty like me. (Range with left hand, hold Bow with right hand)

Something was very wrong. The EL Rnage 10x32’s have as good as glass as any EL Range.

So I am “interested” too. But I’m a tad disappointed to be honest. Sig came out with similar last year. I have the 8x32s. The laser is amazing. The glass (IMO) is great for an 8x bino with a RF. It won’t be as good as the swaros….but who rolls with 8x32s and plans to pick apart a western countryside …..they are (again IMO) more limited country rifle/archery focused so glass quality is a bit less important. More importantly the Sigs have onboard sensors and it doesn’t appear in what I read that swaro does (I may have missed it). Oh yeah and they cost 4x as much!

I just wish swaro would up their sensor package and laser performance a bit. Can we got sig guts with swaro glass? Excited to see the reviews though.

I know this is pretty late lol but I would argue that chest binoculars are not for picking apart western terrain anyways that’s what tripod binoculars are for or possibly a spotter, your chest binoculars are gonna be for when you’re hiking and hand glassing a lot so light weight and big field of view and lower magnification is very helpful and also if you’re doing your job, you’re glassing at first light and you are not looking for a deer bedded underneath a shaded bush in dusky lighting. You’re looking for deer on their feet and feeding. Can’t see how eight powers would be bad for that. Hope that is helpful if you were looking for a one tool to rule them all Then yes too small of magnification 10 x 42 is the better due all tool if you’re not going to bring 15s or a spotter as well

Anymore updates from those of you on this thread who have been using the 8x32 EL Ranges? Are you still liking them? How are they for you in lowlight?

I picked up a pair of 8x32 EL Range TA's this week and the focusing knob has been incredibly stiff compared to what I'm used to. They are harder to turn to the right than the left. I am impressed with the range of the RF though. I've been able to hit 2,022 yards consistently and have hit other targets at 1,700-1,800 yards consistently.

The focusing knob concerns me though as I don't have another one to compare to in order to see if it's supposed to be this stiff. I also have tried them behind my house in lowlight, but not in a hunting situation yet, so I'm curious how they hold up to 8x42s or even 10x42s.

I'd love to know who still has them and what your experiences have been. Thanks!
