Just got my Els back from repair and I cannot, with my bare hands, move the barrels. I decided to call Swaro to verify I wasn’t missing anything before bending them over the back of a chair to try to move them. Guy I spoke to told me in sending them in either way so go ahead and give it the beans whichever way you can to see if it moves so if it breaks or doesn’t move the end result is the same.

I’m not really wild about the idea of bending them over something and using my body weight to try to move it but I also sent them in early enough to get them back for the season. Does anyone have any experience with this and can provide any tricks or tips?

Issues solved. I was refraining from using lubricant because I didn’t want them to be too loose if/when it broke free. I put it in my lap and put both hands on one barrel and leaned into with everything I had. Two bruised thumb knuckles layer from it popping loose I have them free.
