Supressor direct thread vs muzzle brake mount?

This is simply not true

Edit to add: maybe they are talking about muzzle brakes added ON to the end of a suppressor. Those do add recoil reduction to a suppressor. But to my knowledge they still do not compete with well designed, straight muzzle brake

I do not believe them if they are claiming a muzzle brake MOUNTED suppressor will have less recoil than an identical, direct thread suppressor
skeptical, too - found this thread and combing through it - https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/suppressor-and-integral-brakes-recoil-reduction.314686/

Edit: I do think they're saying a muzzle brake MOUNTED suppressor can mitigate more recoil than DT. That's how I read that bit. Hmmm

All mine are direct thread. I despise muzzle breaks and as some have said, a muzzle break designed for a suppressor mount on the end of a sleek barrel without the suppressor looks ridiculous. If the suppressor is not on the rifle a trim thread protector is used.

If you had to guesstimate how much the can reduces recoil on your 300WM, what would you say? And to be clear, you’re direct threading the can onto your barrel w/no device? Asking because I’m building a 300wsm and trying to figure out the best route in attaching a can…DT vs brake/device + Can
Unfortunately I can't really comment on recoil reduction for this particular rifle. It's quite heavy and I'd argue it's weight plays a larger role in recoil reduction than the can itself. Aside from that bolt gun I've only ever shot it on my ARs and with adjustable gas blocks and silent capture springs, they shoot soft with or without the can.

Totally understand, thanks. Missed the bit you had about it being heavier setup.
