Barrel threading debacle

Rose Action Sports

Steve can hack an inch off and do it right.

I agree with above. Threads should not be special to a device. Plug a play with generic specs.

My experience is the same as Slickhill. I've threaded a whole lot of muzzles and it's crazy the different fit of muzzle devices. I have probably two dozen things to try from TBAC brakes/suppressors, Lane suppressors, MBM, SRS, MPA, MDT, Without Warning, etc. One will stop halfway on the threads and another will wobble so much I have to use a wrench to get it to lock up tight.

The above is why I won't thread a muzzle without the device the shooter plans to use. If I didn't do that I'd get a whole lot of the complaints folks are talking about here.

Interesting, i've never heard of this. Probably only had 15 ish muzzle threaded barrels but never come across a notably loose or tight fit with a bunch (APA, Area419, tbac, MBM, Seekins, SiCo, MGM, PVA, and probably others) muzzle devices. Good to know for the future.
