How’s it work if you buy something that is back ordered form SS?

I’m assuming you need to wait til it’s in stock and a serial # is known before any of the approvals can start?

Just filled out new paperwork today for a Scythe. My FFL was pretty confident I *should have it in my hands by week's end. He said his last one last week took 22 hours to get an approval.

About 45 days ago, I had 4 cans approved in 3 days time. The oldest of the batch was near 120 days, youngest was 3 days. Today I put a Dead Air nomad LTI XC on papers. Will see how long this one takes!
