Suppressor wait times

Anyone lucky enough to have a suppressor get out of jail recently? Wondering how long it took from the time the tax stamp check was cashed by good ole' Uncle Same to the date you got the call to pick it up. I have a TBAC Dominus in jail and the check was cashed on 4/28/21. I have a predator hunt in Texas planned in March and was really hoping to have it in time to take with me. Absolutely no reason for the process to take this long, but I'll save that discussion for another thread.

Really why does it takes so long? Because the US govt. is involved, that's why.

Have you called to check? I called and they had approved it but the dealer hadn’t received the stamp yet.

My first one was 13 months, waiting on 2 more now that we're e filed shop says average of 7 months for the e file vs the paper at 11 months on average.

How can they know this? E form has been active less than one month.

if you go to NFATracker they have a graph of wait times (check cashed to approved by ATF).

It's depressing.

in my case:

check cashed 12/12/20, approved 6/4/20 (174 days)
check cashed 1/6/21, approved 8/25/21 (231 days)
check cashed 1/27/21, approved 9/25/21 (241 days)
check cashed 3/18/21, still waiting (306 days and counting)

Form 4 paper, trust, Silencer Shop.

Times have just skyrocketed since the election in Nov. 2020. The NFAtracker times are now showing 10 months+

Second vote for calling and checking. I finally did that after 11 months and found out it had been approved a month before and the dealer "forgot" to call me. The ATF guy I talked to was actually really nice and helpful.

yeah I just call them once a month to see where we are at. They are always efficient and polite. Sometimes the hold times are bad, especially on mondays.
