When the weather gets bad enough that tape doesn't work it's cool to have an option that actually sticks. I got to help test these over the last year and was pretty impressed.

Magpie precision is the company making them. They're made out of tent and sleeping pad repair material that is completely waterproof and they developed their own adhesive with 3M that can be applied to cold wet metal. I used them for a week in coastal Alaska and multiple hunts across Idaho and never had any issues with them coming off. It was always easy to get one to reapply even if stuff was wet and cold. I just thought these were cool and figured I'd share.

To all the people who think this is dumb. I'm not saying tape and cheap stickers don't work under mild conditions. But there's plenty of times when they don't work and good luck getting them to re apply in wet cold weather. Like when you actually need to seal a suppressor.

That's pretty cool they worked with 3M on the adhesive. Cold and wet conditions can be challenging for adhesives, especially when conditions are taking it above and below the frost point. Thanks for sharing.

Have you ever tried this specific one?

I’ve had good luck with this under some pretty adverse conditions in multiple applications.

Not saying your stickers don’t work, just saying that a roll of tape may be more versatile.

Ive never had a single issue with a piece of duct tape. That's in rain, snow, sub zero temps.

I've used miles of that tape. I've been an electrician for close to 15 years now. You can almost always get it to stick to itself but if you get it cold enough it doesn't want to stick to other materials very well. You end up making a big x over the top of the suppressor and throwing a bunch of wraps around the side. You can actually add enough weight to your suppressor that it can shift your POI. Then it's a pain in the butt to scrape off down the road. If you're going use electrical tape the 3m colored variants don't leave as much residue. Again. I'm not saying you can't make other things work. This is just a really slick way to do it that seems to be better. Unfortunately other options really seem to personally bother some people on this site.

@Dioni A , did you try sticking to a suppressor that has a “funky” muzzle? I have always used electrical tape on an unsuppressed muzzle, which has worked well even in crazy wet/cold conditions—but I recently got my first suppressor and have been wondering what to try. I have a DD enticer ti, there isnt really a “flat” on the muzzle for any type of tape to adhere to. Any thoughts on what works best? Think these would work well?
