Suppressor recommendations for new users

I think for the best "all around" hunting cans that are ~10oz or less, suppress well, and are reputable with many accounts of happy owners are -
DeadAir Nomad Ti XC
CGS Hyperion K
AB Raptor 8
TBAC Ultra 7

I suspect the Reaper from Unknown Suppressors will fall into that category as well. Also have an Airlock Industries 7mm on the way that I'm excited to get some experience with.

This absolutely tracks with my experience.

I aim for a total length of 23-26” for barrel and suppressor. For me, a short barrel is just a means to getting more suppression without being cumbersome.

I run an ultra 7 on the 6.5 prc on a 20” and it’s fine, the 5 is rowdy.

For a hunting bolt gun, I have used the Nomsd XC Ti for about a year now. Very pleased with it on a 300wsm 23” Proof barrel.

My other choice was a Thunderbeast Gen 2 Ultra 7, but it was out of stock when I was ready to buy.

Yes, it would work fine on an AR, but I have a Sandman S for gas guns in 6.5 Grendel that fills this role.

any other recommendations in addition to the Nomad Ti XC?

It doesnt get mentioned a lot but I'm very happy with my OCL Hydrogen-S... not quite as short as some of the options but only 1/4" longer than the Nomad Ti XC. Hub compatible, startlingly quiet on a 20" 7mm and 18" 6ARC. A little cheaper than the Dead Air, and the company in general is great to deal with.

Not sure it would be a great fit for you AR but between the 2 Tikkas you'd be all set.
