First time (hunting) suppressor help

I have nothing but good things to say about my TBAC Ultra 7. I’ve shot a whole bunch of rounds through it, including hunts on barrels as long as 24” that weren’t unmanageable. I really like running it in the 18-20” barrel range.

I just picked up an AB Raptor 8 .375, but haven’t gotten a chance to take it out yet. At some point I’ll probably try one of the UM cans later on, but I’m not playing early adopter this time.

On barrels that long for hunting you want as short and light as possible. I would recommend Ti and 5”. TBAC 5 was my choice for hunting, but a TBAC 7 will preform quite a bit better if you have any other platforms to suppress.

The ultra 5 sucks really bad compared to the 7 for sure.
That Reaper at only 6" is almost as quiet as my Hyperion, the baffle design along with a 1.8" diameter is pretty incredible.

I’ve thought about getting the reaper for my 300 wsm and/or 6.5 prc. Did it have that Ti “ping” that you get from some cans from what you could tell?

It did not, in fact it had a noticeably deeper tone than my Hyperion, slightly louder but deep
Would you try it on an ultra mag? I have a 300rum that I really want to try it, but it's a hunting rifle and not interested in anything long and heavy so reaper would be one of the only options
It's braked and not sure if a can would benefit it to justify the cost.
