Don’t be like me. I’m reloading for 4 guns: 22-250, 270, 7RM, and 300WM.
I have two different calibers in the same box. Yes a 270 will feed and fire out of a 7RM, but it won’t hit the target and it won’t extract. Stupid is easy.
Damn, haven't seen anything like this since my grandfather did that with his 30-06 Rem 742 automatic. His ran 270 through it. Thought the gun was messed up. Put another 30-06 round through it after finding the issue and was dead on.

I know first hand (I didn't do it, I was just there) that a ruger m77 chambered in 300 wm will shoot a 30/06 case. The POI was only off by about 2 moa, the rife is still in use today and no worse for the wear but that piece of 06' brass sure wasn't going to make it through another pass in a resizing die.
I learned that lesson last year with the same exact calibers. It also broke the extractor and bent the firing pin. Fortunately, just a stupid $200 mistake that could've been a lot worse.
