I must have missed the treated down thread you are talking about. What was discussed about the down ? I know there have been a couple of threads that have wandered into the waterproof down and I've gleened that the treatment causes the down to act at a higher power than it would without treatment. If the treatment doesn't last then the down item will loose a lot of warmth. Did the conversation go to the idea that you are paying through the nose for dalled up 650 down at 850 down price plus ? What was the the offensive discussion about ?

Nothing wrong with 2 parties ending a relationship is there? The amount of bashing KUIU took on this forum I'm surprised they didn't end the relationship sooner.

I don't think it's worth going there. I definitely saw it as a misunderstanding between the 2 parties involved.

I don't really care about Kuiu and I hate that they feel they couldn't compete and make their case stand against any criticism . Rokslide is their target market and they should be here imo. I'm interested in the waterproof down and want to understand the strengths and weaknesses of it. I can see some obvious big pluses and maybe some big negatives. I just want to know if there was new information on the down and how it's rated. I guess I should start a new thread and get away from the Kuiu thread

Personally, I think it's a shame that the KUIU relationship ended with Rokslide. Most of my gear is KUIU, so I am biased, but everything I own has worked very well. I wish we could get an update on why KUIU was pulled from the site.

This is how i feel. Alot of my gear i wear is Kuiu. I have loved every bit of it. I just see though that Ryan posted an explenation. Im heading that direction to reed it.
