I thought Vista owns Sitka now? This is the second or 3rd sale of SG and I don’t think W.L. Gore has anything to do with any of them.

Calm down. Just what Google says. I’m sorry to insult your religion.I’m not sure where you are getting all this information but that is 100% false.
Maybe First Lite? I don’t know but Sitka is still a division of Gore.

I know some folks who work at Sitka. They have both Sitka and Gore emails that come to the same spot. I’m not insulted, I’m just setting the record straight.
Was thinking the same thing, went to go buy the puffy pants and it was $14 to ship them. They weigh less than 16oz!Hopefully this fixes their shipping rates/calculator. I wanted to order something a couple weeks ago and shipping was $18.95 no matter what was in my cart. I understand it costs that much to ship a frame, but accessories or apparel?
I can't blame Kurt for cashing out, but man that company was so much better before the sale..
No kidding, everything except their packs are made overseas anyhow. What difference does shipping em out of CA make? Some of the things that you people are willing to boycott/grandstand/argue are comical.
I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but lots of people jumping to this conclusion. The thread was “why is it all sold out” right? Then we get some more info they are moving. Having personally been in each of their locations over the years and seen the growth from 2x people to what it is today, I’m just expressing how it’s sad to see a brand clearly get bought and driven by outside investor influence. It is what it is. Not reading much grandstanding, boycotting and outrage here?SG has good product that I like (apparel wise). I will continue to purchase their product regardless of where they are located.

I saw a for sale sign at the building the other day. I thought it was for the open land next door but maybe not after seeing thisDid they mention if they were closing their Bozeman shop?
