Stone glacier sold out?

Pretty sad deal.

They had an entire facility constructed to warehouse/ship their products as well as a showroom. Taking them out of their “ideal” setup, removing shipping from MT, etc etc is pretty tough.

The comment about the people behind the brand, driving the designs etc etc really rings true. Hopefully it all turns out but not holding my breath.

Yea they’ve only been in that building what, 2 years? Unfortunate news….

Hopefully this fixes their shipping rates/calculator. I wanted to order something a couple weeks ago and shipping was $18.95 no matter what was in my cart. I understand it costs that much to ship a frame, but accessories or apparel?

I can't blame Kurt for cashing out, but man that company was so much better before the sale..

Here, I can do google too:

I know some folks who work at Sitka. They have both Sitka and Gore emails that come to the same spot. I’m not insulted, I’m just setting the record straight.

Was thinking the same thing, went to go buy the puffy pants and it was $14 to ship them. They weigh less than 16oz!

SG has good product that I like (apparel wise). I will continue to purchase their product regardless of where they are located.

Some of the things that you people are willing to boycott/grandstand/argue are comical.
I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but lots of people jumping to this conclusion. The thread was “why is it all sold out” right? Then we get some more info they are moving. Having personally been in each of their locations over the years and seen the growth from 2x people to what it is today, I’m just expressing how it’s sad to see a brand clearly get bought and driven by outside investor influence. It is what it is. Not reading much grandstanding, boycotting and outrage here?

The exo guys talking on this mega brand acquisition game really rings true now….

Makes sense why everyone is closing out SG products for dirt cheap. Moving to California meant that they had to comply with the PFAS forever chemical regulations so that's why they had to clear out all their current stock.
