I've tried both SG frames and I like a lot of things about their frames and packs but nothing beats the comfort of the Kifaru lumbar and belt, for me.

They may need to break in a little. All of these high end pack companies don't talk about it much, but there's definitely a break in period for shoulder straps/belts/lumbar pads. Just something to think about and look into.I agree I the belt and lumbar are awesome, however I could not for the life of me get the shoulder straps comfortable which ultimately was a deal breaker.
I ran a stone glacier x-curve 5900 for a year and half and packed two elk and a bear out with it. I loved the pack but the belt always hurt the front of my hips under heavy load. I'm 6'2'' 180 with a 33 inch waist and boney hips in front. I tried a mystery ranch on a whim thinking I would return it but it gave me zero pain with a heavy load so I sold the stone glacier.
I found one other guy on Rokslide with the same problem and he had about the same build as me.
SG is a pack I’ve been considering in my quest for the “right” pack for my needs. I’m about the same build so it brings some concerns for me. MR, Eberlestock, and if I can find a smokin deal Kifaru are the other packs I’m interested in.
