Probably a long shot but does anyone know how these two bags compare in shoulder, hip, and foot dimensions? Stone Glacier uses different sizing measurements compared to WM so I can’t seem to find numbers that directly compare. Is the Chilkoot a wider bag than the Sequoia? I am looking for a 0-5 degree bag with a wide shoulder and hip.

The western mountaineering bag is using a total circumference around you for measurement. Stone is using just the width of the bag. So you can double the Stone measurements to get a closer rough comparison. The Stone would come out to 64/48/36 to the Westerns 66/61/48. I have a Stone and I love it but it does get a bit tight from the knee down for my liking. Its nice and efficient for warmth sake but I wouldnt mind more room. The shoulders and torso have always felt really roomy.

Thanks. I was affaid of that. I used to have a WM Sequoia and I loved the bag but felt the hip and leg room was too tight since I am a side sleeper and move around a lot in my sleep. Does anyone have any recommendations for a wider and roomier 0 or 5 degree bag? I already have a quilt I love using for early and mid season but I am looking for something for late season hunts.

You could always get on Cumulus website and spec out a custom bag. If you have questions on the specs you can email them and get clarification on sizes.

Same experience for me in a fully zipped SG. Snugger than I would like but worth the cost it warmth IMO. I have started using it more like a quilt because I’m a very hot sleeper and don’t see temps here in Texas where I generally needed a full zip mummy. This allows me a lot more freedom of movement. I did have it down into the teens/low 20s for a couple nights and was still sweating in the middle of the night in boxers and a t shirt.
