I admit it , I'm biased. I was infatuated with the terminus all last fall and was about to marry one when I saw the hot new kifaru in bikini and had second thoughts about the terminus. After some hard soul searching I married the kifaru and I'm sure I made the right choice. However , if the Kifaru lets me down I will be getting a quick divorce and running off with a new love :D

We are talking about just packs on here- correct?

Of course for some it may be so much more- they may even have to get a bigger sleeping bag so that they can pull their love (pack) into the bag with them. Of course in that case Kifaru may have to offer another sort of ext. add on accessory so they can "consimate" their love. :D

Matt,
You're videos are great and Rokslide definitely picked the right guy for the review! Glad to see some unbiased and objective testing and honest opinions. There's so much more I want to say but I'll refrain so we can stay on topic! Keep up the good work!

Dotman , the two girlfriends I have now are too much for my old arse to keep up with. :D . I had three FWB'S but my Rokslide addiction ran two off but I just picked up a new one.

This is informative and entertaining. :) I will say that maybe some people may spend "a little too much" time in the mountain. :)

Alright dotman and Daveinjax,

You guys can snuggle up to your own thread on dating elsewhere. Lets keep this one to the packs.

Just finished watching the SG videos from on the trail. I like how you are providing shots of how the pack rides while you walk.

Thanks matt,

Terminus pack = $609 or 7000 ci high camp $ 601. It appears to me that a terminus is $8 more than the bikini high camp. The 4800ci high camp is $22 more than the solo but it is 1500 ci larger also. Oh , the large high camp is 1000 ci larger than the terminus. For about equal cost and about 8 oz more you get Kifaru comfort and bomb proof durability. You also get a much larger accessory selection and a proven company with impeccable service and very high resale value. In the big picture there is no comparison in my opinion.

The Terminus is 6300ci so it's a 700ci diff, it also comes standard w/the load out shelf, unless that has changed it was extra with Kifaru which will add a little more to the price and weight. You can add the scope/side pocket and one belt pocket to the Terminis and be 6700 ci, it will add in price but you will still be lighter than the base bikini high camp. You can then add the Kifaru ultra light grab it to the Terminus, again adding more price but still be lighter by just under an ounce than the base bikini highcamp. Which is what my setup is :) Also if you want the highcamp in foliage which appears to be the most popular color or any color other than the standard tanish/brown color it adds 2oz more. As far as fit/feel goes, try the Terminus out, you wont regret it.

Hey Matt, would you say you have a normal back profile? How does the SG fit into your lumbar and does it create any pressure on your back when you cinch the load lifters tight? Probably would have to go with the lumbar pad for people with normal back profiles?

Great questions Nik.

As far as I know, I have a "normal" back profile. In answer to one of Aron's standard fitting questions: "Yes I do have an ass."

I haven't cranked on the SG load lifters too hard, because I just follow Kurt's fit guidelines.

What is very interesting with both of these packs that is different than many other packs is that I don't mess with the fit much once I get going. With Eberle and Badlands packs I have used in the past, I have spent a lot of time changing belt tension, or strap tension, or load lifter tension to spread out which parts of my body are taking the weight.

With these two packs, I just set them and forget them, and I don't really have to think about it after that.

its funny you mention this, i used to do the same thing, lifters, slacking shoulder straps all kinds of stuff to alleviate whatever was hurting at that moment. since i got my duplex to where it was comfortable i havent adjeusted hardly anything since and that was like 9/1/12

My buddy just bought my DT1 bag from me... I might turn to the darkside for a year and use a stone glacier and give it a good run through and get another opinion on it.

My buddy isn't a member on this site yet but he will be and he's all excited about his new pack bag. He doesn't even have a frame yet. LOL
