If it's not flush are you using 24hr epoxy or super glue or something else to bed it? How do you ensure it sets in the correct angle. Is it bolted into the action while it sets?Yes bed it in

Do you ever run into issues removing the action from the stock after?Meant to say super glue the lug to the action then bed. Assemble with bottom metal and torque tight.
The lug will align with the action and be flush
I’ve had decent luck with acraglass except for one that had epoxy squeeze in through an action screw hole. That was a pucker momentNope I liberally coat everything I don’t want to be permanent with shoe polish haven’t stuck one yet
The only hard extraction I ever had was with a brownells acraglass kit and their liquid release agent.
The shoe polish and devcon is 1000% better, easier to use and release
I’ll have to give that a shot next time. Sounds way better than setting it in place and hoping you got itNot at all the super glue breaks real easy
It’s just easier to line up the lug in the action than by setting it in the stock
Both of my Stocky’s are awesome. I’m sorry you had a bad experience. That said, you took to modifying a stock and then tried to return it — why didn’t you just reach out from the get go? I’m sure most stock companies wouldn’t allow a return on a modified stock, however light your sanding was.Stocky carbon stocks are not worth what you save vs just ordering a quality carbon stock. I have a remington 700 stock from them that was trash I did some light sanding on it to get the action to sit in the stock and then went to try the internal mag and bottom metal and that didn't fit stopped and called stockys they wouldn't take it back from the light sanding learned my lesson and sent the other one I had back Before even trying to fit It.
I lightly sanded the edges so the action would sit down in the stock it looked to be left over from the mold didn't think anything of it.Both of my Stocky’s are awesome. Like I said, sorry you had a bad experience. Mine are awesome and fit is fantastic. As good as McMillans and others I’ve used.I lightly sanded the edges so the action would sit down in the stock it looked to be left over from the mold didn't think anything of it.
The bigger issue was the fact that once the action was sitting how it should in the stock the internal mag and bottom metal wouldn't fit the internal magazine touching the action held the bottom metal off the stock inlet
I am sure most companies wouldnt let that stock go out there door with a good quality control dept regardless of the sanding that stock was junk out of the mold and they know that and used the sanding as a excuse.
The texture reminds me of something Mike at TacOps would make. Looks good6 minute JB Weld grip and forend-

Might do a bit of touch up with some overspray, but it’s basically finished.
