I’ll probably do the same. I appreciate what stockys has done trying to make such a light stock, but personally I feel like aluminum pillars and a solid foam fill in the butt would be well worth the extra 3-4 ounces.

If I recall they said they tested pillars vs no pillars, and the no-pillar was stronger.

For anyone who has used both, how does the grip and trigger reach on the Stockys VG compare to a Seekins Havak? I've shot the havak stock for a few years and I know it fits my small hands reasonably well... just trying to decide if the VG for my tikka would be similar ergonomics.

I got mine filled up in the butt with spray foam. It definitely helped with noise and the hollow sound, but it didn’t improve rigidity right behind the grip. There is still a ton of flex right where the butt starts. The inletting for the bottom metal also isn’t great. Overall I really want to like the stock but the verdict is still out. I won’t be cutting the stock down based on how thin the walls of the butt are. All the rigidity in the butt is all at the rear of the stock. I feel like the carbon needs to be quite a bit thicker throughout the butt.

So it looks like the VG has a similar angle and trigger reach to the AG Composites stock that comes on the Waypoint 2020? Or is kind of in-between the AG and the Havak?

No I meant to but spaced it. I will say I cant notice a weight difference or balance difference holding the stock. It’s got to be an ounce and a half at most

Whatever foam ag composites is using in their stocks, stockys needs to implement in theirs. Cut an ag composites down today and the foam inside is lightweight but extremely strong. Hard pressure from my fingers and couldn’t even put an impression in it.
