And to answer your question more directly. I vote no. Barrel burners are overbore. Lots of powder and a small bullet diameter. Or high powder to caliber ratio. That concentrates an intense flame in a small area, like a cutting torch and it wears out the throat and the start of the lands. The .264 win mag comes to mind, .257 wby, 22-250, etc. But still, we are talking thousands of shots. Absolute non issue, imo. Letting the damn bbl cool down between shots will go a long way too.
