Start a club in the Ozarks?

Right now I'm looking at August 23-24, September 13-14, and 20-21. Everybody chime in and let me know which of those dates would work best. There is no single date that will work for everyone, but if I get enough people choosing one date, then we can at least get the 1st meeting underway. Then, more folks can join us at future meetings. Meeting place is still a work in progress.

Guys, thought I had chimed in on this, but I'm in Tulsa and would be willing to join up for a meetup. More of an archery guy, but could be persuaded to bring a rifle along, or pistols or whatever. Looks like all of my out of state fall hunting plans have fallen through as well. so def have time this fall/late summer.

Our rifle range goes to ~700 yards. Depending on the date my neighbor's range starts at 650 and goes to ~1500 now. We will have the 1 mile target set up by Sept.

Okay, suppose I just say that the first (un)official meeting of the Ozark Outdoor Organization, aka the OOO, will convene at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at Table Rock State Park just south of Branson, MO. If we rent the pavilion, we can BBQ. It's cheap enough that I'll pay for it myself if we get enough folks. I need to know how many would commit to being there. If you see this post and you plan on attending, please let me know either here or in a PM. If that day or location doesn't work for very many guys then I'll pick another date/place.

Thats the first weekend of bear season in Arkansas. Ain't no way I am missing that weekend. It is also the first weekend of archery deer in Missouri.

I know, Doc. It doesn't seem like there is ever a good time. I hate to think that I may have to wait until spring. Thanks again for volunteering your place. I may still take you up on it, it just depends on how everything shakes out.
