6ARC Tikka

First range trip out with the new 6 ARC build. The rifle started out as an 8 twist 243 Win, but I wanted to see what an even lighter recoiling system was like. I pulled the barrel and put on a 7 twist 18” PVA Osprey prefit .750” taperless contour. Kampfeld bushed the bolt. Dropped it in a Rokstok. SWFA 3-9 with UM rings. OCL Hydrogen K suppressor. Weighs 8 lbs 15 oz without ammo.

I was using the factory M mag that came with the 243 which did not feed super smoothly. I have two pods8 mags on the way. Also considering switching to an AICS bottom metal.

I shot about 60 rounds of Frontier 105 gr FMJ total so far and am really happy with it. Looking forward to loading some 95 and 107 gr TMK with XBR. Even the cheap Frontier stuff went sub MOA on 12 shots. I’ll do a 20 shot group next time I’m out.

You’ll like the mags from pods8. Mine feed like butter.

Lookin forward to it. Just wish there was an option for >3 round capacity. Like 5 or so.
I have told him a few times I would be interested in 5 round versions as well. Shoot him a message. If enough people ask for them, it may become worth it to make them.
