I also have a rifle range in my front yard out to ~700+ yards and a neighbor has a range that goes to 1 mile.

As a disabled veteran I too am concerned about the fact that I have prolly got more trips in my rear-view mirror than I do in my windshield. Which is why I try to focus on the things that bring me joy - like shooting, coaching, and hanging out with other like minded folks - has really risen in importance to me this last decade.
Thus the reason I've spent time and money do things like built a rifle range in my front yard. Even when I can no longer shoot myself (I cant shoot prone anymore for example) I will still be able to coach others which brings me nearly as much joy as doing it myself.

I think putting a shoot together would be really sweet! I know finding a place could be really tough. But someplace that would allow us to do at least 300-400 yards, preferably farther

I’m not speaking for @Pilsner, but I know he mentioned he had a range on his property. I’m not sure if he meant he would host an event, but thought I’d mention it.

Im in NWA and id love to join. Depends on when and with two kiddos running around it can be a stretch but I'll do my best to make it happen.

I dont have a good spot but a shooting meetup would be cool. I do have a different kind of idea too.

I've been wanting to get into turkey hunting and we dont have very many good places here and our numbers are LOW. Is anyone up for a turkey camp next spring? Mark Twain? Somewhere in KS? I have absolutely zero knowledge of out of state turkey spots.

We'd have to all get tags but im sure there's somewhere that can facilitate that. Thought that might be a cool way to have a rokslide meet up and get some hunting in at the same time as well as learn something new, for me at least.
