Any recommendations for a shooting rest with adjustable arms for tree stands? I used an outfitter for bear this year and had issues in all the stands: I could not get the shooting rails into a good position for the distance and angle. I have been looking online, but would like some suggestions. I would possibly use it on a hang-on for deer in the future; lighter is better. Thanks.

I havnt been unhappy with my bog pod at all. I just cant see wanting to be isolated to a specific area in the stand.

The simplest thing I have ever done for a rest, that actually works pretty well at close to moderate range, is to tie a length of paracord to a limb (or the tree trunk itself) above my head or above where I think I'm likely to be holding the rifle's forend if I see something. When you get ready to shoot, wrap the dangling paracord around your left hand as you grab the rifle's forearm.

It's hardly a long-range shooting strategy but it beats the heck out of shooting offhanded, especially at maybe 50-125 yards or so. And it only requires a short piece of paracord.
