Im in the country in upper East Tenn and usually by this time of the year Im seeing a ton of turkeys. Could it be this up and down weather? I never really thought weather as far as seasons affected turkeys. Any one else experiencing this?

Turkey sightings are like the stock markets ---

They fluctuate.

Keep this info to yourself.

Otherwise there's no telling what could happen.

Seeing an uptick in activity in Nebraska the last couple weeks. Still some bigger flocks but expecting those to start splitting up more soon.

Nebraska archery opens ~20th of March every year and it’s always different. Some years the winter flock is breaking up by now other years it gets pushed back into April.

Currently small groups of Toms are going on walk about on the nice days, but go back to winter roost every night.

If I’m lucky some hens will break off and start using multiple roosts next week when season opens.

Out of all the states I've turkey hunted Nebraska is by far the TOP. I hunted just north of a town named Alma. I could have gotten in trouble there. Lol. Not just the hunting that made it so good,it was the people also. Everyone I met acted like family. I come from the Murder capital of the USA so it was a culture shock for me.
