When I visit people’s trophy rooms sometimes the souvenirs from hunts to far flung locations are as interesting as the animals on the wall. Just thought I’d post a thread to see what cool souvenirs people have picked up during their travels.

I picked up this Frank Entsminger original bronze on a caribou hunt a few years back. It sits on my dresser and I probably like it better than the rack I brought home.

Found a very old horseshoe in MT while hunting the unlimited's in an area you would have to be absolutely crazy to lead or ride a horse.

Found a international border marker survey stake that had come out of the ground between AK and the Yukon while sheep hunting. Im guessing someone at some time removed it, and misplaced it as it was probably a solid 200 yards into the US. Within 30 minutes of picking it up I located the ram that I eventually harvested.

Brought both home and they remind me daily of the enjoyment/challenge of sheep hunting.

Aside from a nice mule deer rack, I brought home a stick from a cactus - looks like a hollow, woven stick. Pretty neat.

Got some petrified wood in WY - it was everywhere and looks like real wood shards.

It's kind of funny. I have taken a lot of deer, but nothing amazing that I would want to hang on the wall. My first non-spike ( a little 3X3 ) I was going to cut one of the antlers down and use it for a knife handle. The wife vetoed that, and decided she was going to use the antlers for decorating.

My daughter is 18 now and I still try to find a cool rock to bring home for her on every trip. It's a small way to let her know I'm thinking about her while out hunting with my son.

I’ll pick up something once in a while, a couple years back on a southeast colorado whitetail bowhunt trip I found both a whitetail 8 point bleached out deadhead and month later back in the same area a small mule deer forky bleached out dead head. Kept those. On another hunt in the same area the following year there are all kinds of wild gourds that grow down in the river bottom, found a small round dried out gourd and brought it back. This past season on my mule deer hunt I found a single side bleached out 3 point mule deer antler.

A root beer can from local company in idaho my buddy swore was the best ever. Had the waitress pour it out after the first sip and kept the can.
