I lived with Canadians and knew many more from college back in the early 80s. At least then they were pretty much just like me without too many cultural differences that mattered. I would like to be shed of about half the people here in the US.

This is one the best things possible for Canada. The Turd sock-puppet opined in 2015 that Canada was a "post-nationalist state". Stunned little prick.

We are already seeing First Nation leaders realign expectations and younger folks asking what it means to be Canadian. Going to be a lot of growing pains here, but in three years we will be way ahead as a nation. We have spent 70 years allowing outside voices to determine the value of our resources and our direction as a Nation.

Once we begin to withhold power, crude, medical isotopes and rare earth metals the negotiations will be interesting. Its a big world out there, and we have a great opportunity to pivot out of the shadow of the U.S economy.
Thanks President Trump, we appreciate the wake up.

Yeah but we are going to need a strong leader to stand up for ourselves..... Hopefully Pierre can walk the walk and talk the talk.

Leaders.
Plural.
History has shown that there needs to be strong leadership at all levels of government. The problem since 2015 has been the autocratic little piss-ant and his little toadying sycophants.

Wrong. A mil is a 1000th of an inch. Not short for millimeter.
That’s actually not correct. A milrad is 1000th of a radian. An angle measurement which isn’t technically imperial or metric, but given that the mil is 10 based, it does fit in line with the metric system that everyone here seems to hate on except for when it comes to mils.

Funny the tune of Canada, duh country first. As an international sales guy it blows me away what other countries implement i.e to protect their economies against foreign interest and we still bend for them. Good for America, Canada…. Wake up!

“Mil” is also a machinist’s term for thousandth of an inch.

Wrong again. Everyone I have ever known in the manufacturing and tooling or engineering industries consider a "mil" as a 1000th of an inch. Nothing to do with angles. Idahobeav is correct.
