We could say that for Colorado’s southern mountains in summer. Walked into a shop with my Wife in Lake City and was greeted with, “Howdy, where y’all from”. My short answer was Colorado.Texas is full dont come.
You want to keep all the resident tags you get the snow too.
We were headed south. Then my old 12 year old, 110 pound Rotweiller wasn't able to get on and out of the vehicle on his own....and I can no longer help him!We did the Florida thing for 8 years. Made out really well when I sold that house at almost 3x what I paid.
It was really nice, and way too far for a second home. If we didn’t have all the damn animals to haul 2300 miles….nah, still too far. It was cool tho.

Yeah it was interesting at times. I could always count on the orange cat to take a dump in the litter box 10 minutes after starting the morning drive and having to stop 11 minutes into the drive to clean it out. Stinky lil guy.@11boo, you got a mobile zoo there!
If our summers continue to get hotter (and more smoky) I’m going to do the reverse snow bird. I’ll summer in coastal Alaska and spend the rest of the year in Montana.
Oh ya, that's what I'm talking about! It was 90 here last week. I wore shorts and sandals.
Man, there was a little restaurant there that had the best calzones I've ever had. Every time I went through I had to stop for one. Then a couple years ago, it was shut down. Pretty sure a Covid casualty. We could say that for Colorado’s southern mountains in summer. Walked into a shop with my Wife in Lake City and was greeted with, “Howdy, where y’all from”.
