Snake protection?

Danner GTX snakeboots. I don't leave camp without them.....

The Danners are where’s it’s at. I bought a pair back in college where he invited me to hunt a swamp with him and said to bring snake boots if I had them.

I told him I didn’t and asked how necessary they were. He said he hadn’t been on a hunt there where he hadn’t seen a moccasin. I’ve seen a 6’ moccasin in there.

I bought the Danners and they have been awesome, mine stayed waterproof for 10 years. They’ve since started leaking but are otherwise fine. They discontinued them for awhile but have an updated model now.

I have been struck 2x by copperheads fall deer hunting in Kansas.....one time with snake boots and one time regular boots.....both times I did not have skin broken. The timber rattlers here are king of the woods and can be nasty....I appreciate the responses.
Thanks again for the help. I plan to hit the ruck hiking hard and the toughest trails here get very overgrown......

Maybe I don't want to hunt with you lol. I never think about snakes.
