Also just wanted to show a picture of how nice fit of hip vent zipper is.
38fec6b875cfb9bdca4087afc58a7afc.jpg
pushes up into under the fabric and is snug. I have no doubts it'll stay up if pushed fully into the keeper. Zipper pulls are nice guess we'll see if thier size let's them make noise when moving.

Awesome stuff so far. Where about in California are you working? Temps been pretty cold in most of the state lately as well. I may be able to give you some spots to run around in if you get a couple free days, depending on location. Look forward to the rest of the review, and the fact they offer to pay shipping both ways is pretty astounding honestly, over and above in my eyes.

Working in Tulare. Tips thanks, have gas will travel any where within a half days drive if I get shut down for multiple days. I'll hit you for sure. Planning to swing up north and though Nevada on the way home maybe a couple spots to shed hunt. Have the work car so that'll limit where I can access as getting stuck in middle nowhere just doesn't sound fun.

You sure about this? That's way earlier than I'd ever heard. But if true, that's great (hopefully...assuming I draw :D)

Also I did not notice a credit card hit from Utah so my hope is fading fast. No rejection notice yet so there's still hope right? 11 points still isn't enough hunting in Utah is becoming an old man's sport I guess.

Ok have about 6 hours to get a hike in today. Enroute to Sequoia national park. Never seen those giant trees so should be awesome trip. Temp is 64 in Tulare except cooler temps in the park. More to follow

Ok a couple things when I started my hike it was 74 and the second was I extremely under estimated the brush.

I thought I could push up though the bush hit that ridge and motor up further to the peak.

not sure what's it called but it's hell to try and push though.

I opened the hip vents and all the pockets. The interior of the pockets are mesh so in theory should help vent some. Temps being 74 degrees is definitely warm for a pant designed for later seasons but it's a great way to test how well they vent.

Well the whole mountain face was in the sun with just a sight breeze. Pants really surprised me how well the hip vents worked. I also think the pockets did help some but didn't zip the hip vents to test. Below the knee felt much warmer than above which I found weird as I never really noticed before.

I thought I had a picture of the hardscrabble pushing though that bush but apparently not. Here is what my arms look like though

I did a 1/4 mile though that crap up and back. It was a real test of my will power to make the top and tested the durability of the hardscrabble pretty well too. It didn't even faze them still look new. I did a total of about 4 miles and was impressed they cooled as well as they did.

Finally if you have never seen a giant sequoia you really should. It was amazing just how big they are when you stand next to them and realize they were standing when America was still paying taxes to a king

Guys been working like a mad man but did get a half day shed hunting California/Nevada state line area.
These pants have truly impressed me. I had half hoped some weather would roll in and I'd get to test the dwr finish and rock the jacket but it just wasn't meant to be I guess. All told about eight miles. Never got to hot or to cold temp ranged between 45 and 65 degrees

Someone told me deer winter in this area but it was like chasing leprechaun gold out there.
