Guys I can’t keep up with all of this on the multiple threads. You’re all adults and will/can form your own opinion. As I said earlier, I can honestly say you don’t have to doubt Sitka’s loyalty to the people who built the company, to the outdoors, or the outdoor industry. You will consistently see them at the forefront of conservation efforts. I don’t know what will happen, or be said, only time will tell. I have deer to chase, presents to wrap, kids to spend time with, and hunts to plan. Show season starts in January and I’ll be at a LOT of shows. Stop in and chat.

I’m going to post a post from a friend of mine, also another Sitka ambassador. He sums up the majority really well.

I’ll leave you with one last thought as well. Don’t be a sheep. If this really bothers you, do some research. Look for the positives out there. Don’t believe me, just because I tell you Sitka has done a bunch of amazing things for the hunting world. Find out for yourself. Look it up. Just because some jack wagon spews off a bunch of other bullshit, doesn’t mean the world is ending. Do some research find out the facts. . Life is full of sheep, don’t let them pull the wool over your eyes.

Les, part of the problem is that Sitka has come out and said exactly nothing about what Charles said in his video. It's been almost 48 hours since it was posted and it's still crickets from them, they can put together a form letter stating their support for hunters and the 2A, they can post pictures of stars on their FB page but they can't publicly post a 4 sentence paragraph artuiculating their stance on on those things Charles is wishing to regulate and whether or not they have separated ways with him.

You have to remember that situations like this require steps, steps that have to be followed to protect themselves from lawsuits. Those that are calling for Sitka to answer immediately are also the same people that are saying what they have answered they dont believe. So they can take the hit for a couple days, formulate a good, thoughtful response or they can make a knee jerk reaction that everyone still complains about. Lose lose.

I am calling it now, no matter what Sitka says, a good amount of people will still think its a disguise for what Sitkas "true agenda" is.

I agree with most of what you said here and I will say that my clothing purchases going forth will be based on what they say or don't say about this situation. I hope they choose to support the people that support them rather than come out with some limp noodle answer to appease the masses.

I am one of the people that didn't like the email response I got from Sitka simply because, by all indications looking at this guys resume, he is an employee of Sitka, not an independant contractor...that's how HE portrays himself on his SM feeds (including LinkedIn), so that is certainly not on Sitka.

At this point I'm very optimistic that Sitka is going to address and clarify this issue...hopefully today. It's clear to me that they have already taken action by speaking with this individual and requesting he remove any mentions of Sitka from his bio in Instagram, but of course that's just me speculating. I do agree with both you and Les that Sitka has earned the benefit of the doubt based on their commitment and dedication to the outdoors and sportsmen.

Sitka is a business, who has made a lot of money off of gun owning hunters. Yes they have supported our causes, but in the interest of building their brand. Lets see if they step up.

Because he is still listing his affiliation with Sitka on his LinkedIn page, he only took it off his Instagram because of the storm that came his way. Sitka still has not disavowed this guy, their silence is deafening.

It would seem to be obvious that our "silent majority" has been taking the high road and being left behind in the court of public opinion.
While I'd just as soon go about my daily business the extent of our opponents success can be seen in recent red flag laws.
Due process is being skirted as a result.
We become complacent and afraid to speak up for our "rights" while the other team is preaching on every street corner available.
We'll either come together as a unified force or be cast aside under the ever power seeking government.

Its lightning fast....companies utilizing it need to have lightning fast responses.....if not...then it shows that the weak leadership does not have clearly defined business plan and mission statement.

Are they softening on the base of hard core hunters they built their business on?

If you build your business on selling hunting gear, you better make it crystal clear where you stand on hunting issues and your employees need to reflect those positions.

Regardless of how this person got his position with Sitka, he is and will cost Sitka sales for every hour that goes by unaddressed.
