I've got one Tim. I like it, but for me, I prefer a little more jacket as a softshell. I really like the regular Jetstream as my go to softshell. My other favorite softshell is the KUIU Chinook. I LOVE the Jetstream Lite in the Vest. As nice as the Jetstream Lite Jacket is, I'm having a hard time figuring out where it fits in my "kit". Where weight is an issue, I usually eliminate the softshell all together and go with the JS Lite Vest and my KUIU Yukon.
RMEF has the burnt orange on closeout for $68 so I may give it a try. It may become an everyday wear item as I'm having a hard time as well thinking of when I would prefer it. Maybe early season glassing with a down vest under it? Would be a light weight option for sure.

yep. went up one size should have gone two. will be fine to layer a thin maybe a medium merino under but not a thin merino and a bulky merino sweater as planned. other than the sizing its nice for what needed in the southThey do fit small. I got a large based on Sitka Cust. Service recommendation due to the tighter athletic fit. I normally wear a medium in most of Sitka and all of Kuiu. I got this jacket and it fits smaller than any of my other Sitka and Kuiu medium pieces. I've chocked it up to being a good running jacket, mid-summer day hike jacket or cycling jacket for me. I can wear a fleece pullover under it with a thin baselayer t-shirt but that about limits it right there. If you wear a medium go for an XL in this jacket if you want to have any room at all to wear a light puffy underneath or layers. If you wear a L, go for a XXL, and so on.
