Anyone have this and if so what are your thoughts? I like that it has windstopper, 4 way stretch and weighs 12oz.

I've got one Tim. I like it, but for me, I prefer a little more jacket as a softshell. I really like the regular Jetstream as my go to softshell. My other favorite softshell is the KUIU Chinook. I LOVE the Jetstream Lite in the Vest. As nice as the Jetstream Lite Jacket is, I'm having a hard time figuring out where it fits in my "kit". Where weight is an issue, I usually eliminate the softshell all together and go with the JS Lite Vest and my KUIU Yukon.

I have one for sale on here at the moment. I like the jacket, used it as a windstopper layer while whitetail hunting and as an everyday jacket this last winter. I'm parting with it because I've decided the XL is a little big for me. It's great when I have a couple layers on, but too baggy for my everyday use at 6' 180-185

RMEF has the burnt orange on closeout for $68 so I may give it a try. It may become an everyday wear item as I'm having a hard time as well thinking of when I would prefer it. Maybe early season glassing with a down vest under it? Would be a light weight option for sure.

Like Kotaman said, it's almost too light for a softshell, for me. It is literally just a Windstopper membrane with camo on it. It's not that it's chincy, but for the weight and what it has to offer, just wear a rain shell if you want to block the wind. The standard JS is my primary top garment.

I like the jet stream lite and use it more than my jetstream "normal" jacket. I mainly bow hunt in Colorado so the weather is warmer but still freezing in the mornings and late evenings. I wear random merino base layers and pack a Kuiu super down hooded jacket and jetstream lite shell. This works perfect for me and I can be comfortable in freezing temps when glassing or blind hunting, then they pack easy to get back to hiking.

wow, for $68 that is a great deal. I may have to check that out...

Thanks for that, just scored one!

They do fit small. I got a large based on Sitka Cust. Service recommendation due to the tighter athletic fit. I normally wear a medium in most of Sitka and all of Kuiu. I got this jacket and it fits smaller than any of my other Sitka and Kuiu medium pieces. I've chocked it up to being a good running jacket, mid-summer day hike jacket or cycling jacket for me. I can wear a fleece pullover under it with a thin baselayer t-shirt but that about limits it right there. If you wear a medium go for an XL in this jacket if you want to have any room at all to wear a light puffy underneath or layers. If you wear a L, go for a XXL, and so on.

yep. went up one size should have gone two. will be fine to layer a thin maybe a medium merino under but not a thin merino and a bulky merino sweater as planned. other than the sizing its nice for what needed in the south

Dotman fixed me up with his XL, and it fits better than any other Sitka jacket I've owned. I'm 6-2, 200, 34" sleeve and I can wear it over a LW merino base and 100 wt fleece with plenty of room for movement, but no excess fabric. Could add another layer of merino if needed. Can wear my Kelvin Lite Vest under or over it easily.

I like it! Thanks Dotman.
