Sitka Jetstream as Everyday Jacket?

There are a couple of sites that have some great deals on the older model Sitka Jetstream in solid colors and I’m considering one for everyday, go to work, watch my kids’ soccer games, go hiking in, etc kind of jacket. For those of you that have experience with the Jetstream, would this cover what I’m looking for?
For reference I’m in TN and we have somewhat mild winters with only a few days that drop down to some really cold temps. Any input would be appreciated

I also use a Jetstream for everyday wear, including soccer games. I live in the Pacific Northwest. Winters here are wet and cold. My Jetstream handles it very well. I can wear the Jetstream by itself down to about 42° if I’m moving. Any colder than that and I throw on a long sleeve base layer; that gets me down to about 35°. If I add a grid fleece I can go colder than that.

Jetstream in the summer, and blizzard parka in the winter. Stuffs to $$ to only use for hunting lol.

On date nights I use the De Havilland, it’s a little more “down town” looks wise.

Why not? Best in non camo...or you will hear from people how they can barely see you or do you want military discount/what army are you in?

I liked my subalpine jetstream so much I got a brown version. My window to wear it in PA is narrow. I pull it out in mid september, but Our winters have me looking for more coat from about now until march. I think it would be a great jacket for milder places like TN.

Love mine. I have the green. Great all around jacket and blocks wind very well. Put zips are very welcomed. I am in STL and wear it until puffy weather comes. No regrets here.

I know the jetstream is loved by many but I just don't think it is all that and I hardly ever wear mine. It is not very warm. I have a Kuiu Kenai that I like much better and have considered buying in a solid color for everyday use. It is lighter, warmer and more comfortable than the jetstream IMO.

Not at all but there is like 1% of the CA population that hunts and it's a rarity to meet someone that does, kinda nice when that happens.
Gotcha.

Meeting another hunter around here usually means someone who hunts whitetails from a stand. Which I find to be approximately the least interesting activity on earth.

So I generally prefer to not meet a new hunter. Lol

Tree hunters are not actually "in the pursuit of game" like spot & stalk hunting...they are waiting to ambush something that might pass by while playing video games and watching youporn on their phone. JMO, I could be wrong. There is nothing in the dictionary definition of hunting that suggest it involves sitting on your ass trying to stay awake.

My dad is a non hunter.

He refers to stand/blind hunting as waiting.

And what we do as hunting.
