Sitka elevated II for elk?

Wondering if anyone uses this and what your thoughts are on using it. I have a fair amount of OC but thinking about getting the elevated for whitetail and would like to use it for both on a few pieces.

Lotta guys on archerytalk using OC in the tree. Seems ideal for overcast days, better than the forest pattern.

I own a bunch of it, use none of it for elk. The pieces I have are all heavier and designed for sitting in a tree not moving. Maybe some of the real early season stuff.

Not elk, but I still hunt white tail. I like Sitka stuff but after looking felt like the design of a lot of the elevated stuff was too purpose built for tree standing hunting. Great stuff. Just very functionally specific (on purpose). I ended up buying some OC, some first light and recently some subalpine. The deer here in NY/PA haven't complained.

I don't do any white tail hunting since I moved from N.Y. but the other day I was in cableas and was checking out the Sitka raingear. I noticed that the new Thunder head jacket is extremely similar to the downpour jacket in their white-tail line.

So that could possibly be a crossover piece

I think it would all depend on the environment where you're hunting elk, in most cases im sure it would work fine, but will appear darker from a distance. I'm guessing you are thinking about the lighter weight early season stuff because while I LOVE the Fanatic etc for treestand hunting, I wouldn't lug it around chasing elk! The exception may be the Fanatic Hoody, love that piece!

The fanatic hoody was the exact piece I was looking at and maybe the early season pants. However my OC has been working for whitetail so I'd probably just stick with it and save my hard earned cash.

I didn't like the Elevated II just went with OC. I had 3 sets of Sitka in different colors just decided to consolidate. Had the original "forest" just didn't line up color wise with our whitetail season in mid-west. Wish they made to Stratus line on OC I would be all over OC stratus bibs. Anyhow OC in deer season matches up with grays and browns of fall season.

i have guys you use open country whitetail hunting but i think you can use the whitetail eitherway...i think both can be used for either way
