Sorry. Out hiking and I'm lazy and not searching for answer.

I have a core light weight hoodie and I really like it.

I also have the peleton 210 and kutana softshell jacket and find I run way too hot.

My question...

For late Sept elk and early oct, is the core Midweight cool enough to wear by itself when hiking with a pack?

I feel like the core heavyweight is probably too warm.

Anyone use the Midweight and prefer it by itself vs layering with the core lightweight and a base layer underneath?

I never seen to pull a layer off when I double up the core LW but also find I can run a bit hot.

Thinking the core MW by itself might be better and dump more heat when zipped open.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Do you run cold?

I ask since I just wear a base layer while moving and have no issues staying warm. Then once I stop I will add layers as necessary.

I run very hot when moving.

Was thinking maybe the apex hoodie by itself.

I just run a long sleeve shirt. Can be chilly at first but once moving then it’s a non-issue. Works to at least the low 20s.

I basically start with a core LW.

Then shift to a core LW with merino short sleeve.

Then shift to the core LW with a long sleeve half zip.

When it's cold enough I then go to a FL kiln and do the same with the SS and LS shirts based on temp.

I then have a primaloft puffy vest to layer and a light rain jacket as well if I'm not moving
