I have never been much of a beat guy and I am used to extreme cold. Seems like it is never my core that gets cold it’s everything else. And I know they say keep your core warm and everything else will be, but I do keep my core warm.

I second all the recommendations for the jetstream jacket and timberline pants. Just find a good synthetic or merino baselayer and vary your midlayer depending on temps. I used these from -5 to 40 degrees this season. If you backpack hunt the pit zips in the Jetstream make a huge difference venting heat.
