Just did a test of a single bevel vs a double bevel. Check it out. Hope it's helpful.

Any idea the rate of rotation with the single bevel? Seems like a few of those you could measure the distance between initial impact and where they stopped to determine a rate of twist. Might very a lot. Might not.

Were you shooting a helical fletch I'm assuming? Or an offset?

Thanks for sharing, I have been test a few different BH more so for accuracy and penetration because I am only pulling 52 pounds. I am really liking the single bevel Bone BH. I am trying a new companies BH the Annihilator 125 a different design, this BH flying very well and penetrations seems to be very good (it's the BH in the middle)

It looked like the o.d. of those arrows were standard. If you used a 4-5mm shaft bet the double would’ve done just as well if not better.

How if any is flight effected by single out of a compound say 330 -340 ibo bow at longer ranges?
I have played with some 3:1 ratio 225 grain singles out of recurve that flew fine. No kills however. Actually lost a whitetail (that shocks me to this day) with one.

These were with an offset fletching. The rate varies based on the medium.

I’ve not been able to discern any difference in flight. But the smaller surface area head always flies better.

Perhaps...but if you were using a Deep Six head with them, the ferrule diameter would be proportionally smaller and the same as the shaft. But the big hole in the bone is pretty impressive just the same. If I were an animal I'd rather have a little slit in my scapula, than a big hole

I shot a doe with the bone 125s this weekend. Perfect double lung about an inch above the heart. Complete pass through. She ran 80 and I watched her drop in a cut corn field thank goodness. Not a drop of blood until I found her. I believe in the physics of the single bevel but I believe the cut diameter is so small and only two blades there was just no blood trail. So I ordered the Annihilator’s and have a pack of new bone 125s for sale.
