What I do know is there are/were people wanting to pull the trigger on a scythe but are now looking elsewhere or waiting, I’m one of them.

Same boat. I tried something else.

Yes i have one. They are not impressive performance wise in my opinion

Zeroed my rifle in today after getting it chopped and threaded and putting the scythe on it. Recoil is significantly reduced and the sound of course also. So far very happy. 18 inch 30-06

I’ll be interested how you get along. I’m probably going to get a banish backcountry before too long but I’m still hemming and hawing over it.

I have been eying the Scythe since it came out for my first suppressor. It was my number one choice to fit my hunting needs. Now there is a tiny bit of doubt....

Anyone have the Dead Air Nomand Ti XC. Or any thoughts on this one?

I chopped about 4 inches of barrel and lost 110-120 fps, somewhere in there. FYI. I might try get some of that back with my load, not sure yet.

I have an original DeadAir Nomad Ti, and I love it. I don't have a ton of experience with cans, but the last couple times I've been to the range with other guys that have them, I typically get "Damn, that thing is quiet. Which one is that?".

54.0 IMR 4350 180 grain SST at 2.900 to the ogive. Was 2700 now 2580ish

I get 2670 with 180g Accubonds and 62g 4831sc from my 18” tikka.

Edit: loaded to COAL 3.34”

I just took 2” off my ‘06 and took it down to 20”. I haven’t shot it yet to know what I lost.

I handled both at a local shop, got the XC in sniper gray on order now. Damn thing is pretty legit. I was previously planning to get the Scythe or Backcountry.

I get 2750 with a suppressed 20” 06 shooting 178eldm on top of both Superformance and Stabal 6.5. Staball 6.5 is my preference for its temp stability.

Yeah I have one I've been using a lot lately. It preforms better than the scythe. But at a weight and length penalty.
