Silencerco Scythe TI review

Sorry if I missed it but has anyone shot 6mm through either the silencerco or hansohn 5.56 end cap?

Anyone who did, likely only did it once!

Yes, I posted on this. The SilencerCo Ti 556 end cap diameter is fine for 6mm. It is actually larger than some 6.5mm end caps. I have quite a few rounds through it in this configuration.

Just got the Wolfhunter in and was surprised at the length to girth ratio difference between the two. They weigh within .1 oz of each other.

My Scythe now weighs 8.7 oz, while the Wolfhunter weighs 8.8 oz.

I guess it’s time to clean my Scythe!

Very interested to hear what you think about the sound and recoil reduction between the 2.

What is the benefit / disadvantage of swapping out the front 30 cap with break built in to the Hanson brothers end cap?
Advantage: reduce noise, about 1/4 inch shorter, easier to tape over, and 0.4 oz lighter (if that matters to anyone).

Disadvantage: Increased recoil, and if you get a smaller diameter you have to remember not to shoot anything over 6mm through it (though based on how tight the Wolfhunter is, if you check with an alignment rod you can get away with perhaps up to 7mm, but, that is a game one plays at their own risk).

Thank you. Mine is mainly on my 6.5 BB, so I suppose I will steer clear and resist the urge to buy one.

Another advantage to flat front caps is less holes/nooks/crannies for debris to find its way into.
This is the primary reason i use a flat cap on mine for hunting season. Easier to tape one hole than the whole circumference of a brake in addition to the one hole.

Yep.
Before I got my Scythe, it’s the first thing I did years back to my Omega 300, plus on that one it reduced the OAL by like 1.5”.

I'm thinking I tape the end of my barrel different than you. 😆. I usually put 1 piece across the muzzle, then atleast a wrap or 2 around to hold initial piece
