The hole the bullet comes out of is smaller than the hole in the 30 cal cap the suppressor comes with from manufacturer.
Right, I just thought it was odd that the 556 scythe end cap is bigger than the wolf hunter end cap since I believe the wolf hunter is for 243 and down

So is the conclusion that it’s not necessary to run SilencerCo end caps and thread adapters?

After running the Scythe on a 6.5 Grendel AR, I’m ready to run it on my do-all 11.5” 5.56! So I’m in the market for a 1/2x28 mount, but the SilencerCo ones are $$$!

The whole reason for using a standard hub interface on the back end is so people can use whatever they want so I'd not worry about using any reputable 1/2" hub adapter.

Yep I’m going to send it. If the packaging didn’t say .223, and I was going off of ID clearance specs, I’d have no issue using it.

I’ll report back after doing some side by side comparisons with the standard 30 cal braked cap.

Out of curiosity, someone should measure a Hansohn cap that they’ve been using on a Scythe. Also the ID of a Wolfhunter would be interesting to know.
Had much opportunity to make that comparison? I know I'm asking less than two weeks later, so not giving you much time.

Hey buddy,
No I haven’t. We are finishing the last week of work for the season with our window cleaning business up here. After that I’ll be able to get out and gather some data.

It is Ti, so get a thread bolt to plug the bottom and fill with CLR, then let it sit.

That is my plan, you have the advantage on no cerakote, which CLR can mess up.
Does the bolt need to be a certain alloy or material not to react with the CLR? Or do you just plan on some of it getting eaten?

I don't think it will matter if it gets eaten (though I guess it could result in a reaction with the Ti). Getting an HDPE rod and threading it would probably work well (if HDPE rods are made), of course a TI bolt would be good solution to. I have not looked for one yet.

One could also plug the front opening with a rubber cork and and fill from the back.

Wonder if a live well plug would work? Only rubber would touch the can, don’t think it matters if some of the metal on the plug was sacrificed, cheap, and they come in 5/8”.

I’ve got my Scythe Ti in hand, but my CZ 527 is not ready yet (I ordered a threaded barrel from Pac-Not, but that will take a while).

Can someone post up a decent recording of a center fire rifle firing unsuppressed, suppressed supersonic, and suppressed subsonic using the Scythe Ti, please?

Since my rifle is going to be so delayed, I want to make sure that I should not worry about subsonic loads for hunting purposes (which may cause me to change my chosen chambering from 6.5 Grendel to 7.62x39).

Probably, sounds like this is the answer though.
plug one end with a foam ear plug, put it upright in a jar and fill it with CLR for a few hours then rinse it out and let it dry. No steel threads to damage from CLR and no coating on the titanium to get damaged.

Silencer Shop had them in stock so after 10 years of wanting a can, I finally did it. Bought a rimfire can as well

That’s where I ordered mine as well. Now jumping through the hoops to get it to my dealer. Got fingerprints done today.
