The welds on the stack look different. Yours appear to be convex with material layed down on the outside, while @docdb appears to have stack welds placed level to the outer surface and presumably deeper into the material.I don’t see anything that looks different here than on my early SN scythe that hasn’t been sent in.

Maybe. They look the same to me lol maybe a difference in lighting but it doesn’t look like any changes were made on the repaired can to me. Nothing beyond possible variation between units at leastThe welds on the stack look different. I am a very unskilled welder, so don't know enough to say anything on strength with certainty, but depending on how the weld was laid down, the repair welds could be stronger.
Some crappy art of a possible cross section visual.

Welded with a laser, interesting. I’d still assume an orbital welder but with a laser head on it.IPG welded
Does this process differ from what caused the original bad weld? Or did they just do a better job on QC this time?IPG welded
At least one person on here had multiple failures.Has there been any second failures? If not sounds like you just have to blow up the first one & then you are set.
I have one sitting on the shelf since early December waiting on seekins m3,, maybe I should put it on the 300 rum & then it if goes I will have a new one when the M3 finally arrives & never have to worry about it again.
I’ve only used it on my 22” 300prc. I might build a .223 trainer though.I think the used market for cans isn’t very strong. Too much A pain.
I’d shoot it. It’s a great can. Just oversold on its capabilities.
If you have a less powerful cartridge it will do great. I have mine still on a magnum short barrel. It’s hanging in there. If I was worried about it I’d toss it on the 6C or 6.5C or lesser and shoot it without much concern.
