Don't have a suppressor yet, waiting for the Nomad Ti to get mailed to me some day.... My question is for you guys already shooting long range with your suppressors, do you notice any point of impact shifts from remounting your suppressor? AKA, same gun, same supressor, just moving it onto other guns and back, does it line up well enough to not change impact at distance? Just wondering if you guys think its worth buying an adaptor vs just running direct threads.

My TBAC is 1mil up and 0.5mil right. My EVO has no shift.

Edit for clarity, I am talking POI of suppressor to unsuppressed. Mount and remount is no change.

My banish 30 has no POI shift from remounting. Both on my direct thread 5/8x24 6 creed and my .308 which uses a 1/2 to 5/8 adapter

I have gotten to know my Evo and love it. I could shoot 280 AI and 270 cartridges all day without taking a beating or dealing with blast.

It is very accurate for me.

Love mine on my CA Ridgeline FFT in 7PRC. It is my first suppressor, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

The scythe> omega DT > evo in my opinion. Do you have a specific question about all three ?

Thank you… really just a comparison. I would only be using for a long barrel hunting rifle. 28 Nosler. Recoil and sound reduction are my primary objectives. Seems like the Evo is kind of a sleeper, but would like to gather as much info as I can. First time purchaser of a suppressor.

I am researching my first suppressor also and I believe the Evo is discontinued.

And also seems like almost all suppressors are out of stock that people have recommended to me.

The omega and scythe will cut recoil better than the evo because they have removable front caps with muzzle brakes built in . The scythe is definitely quieter to our ears when tested on my 6.5 prc but not by much. Didn’t try the omega when we tested back to back but I think it’s comparable to the scythe . The only thing the evo has going for it is the price and now the omega DT is under $600 some places .

I have the EVO. The last time I went to the range, I shot 40 full bore 280AI (20" barrel) loads. (1) The recoil mitigation was excellent. I could have shot 40 more without any problem. (2) I do not have any way to objectively test sound suppression but all the range employees came out to "listen" to it. They could not believe how quiet it was.

Pros:
1) Solid Performance. Recoil mitigation was very good for me.
2) Relatively Short
3) Cheap

Cons:
1) weight. Although pretty light for a steel can, the titanium cans are lighter (same size) or bigger (same weight).


What would I do in your position? I would prioritize weight and length.
- a 26" hunting barrel and a heavy, long suppressor on the end will likely unbalance the rifle and/or cause a lot of POI shift.
- a 26" barrel plus a long suppresor will be unwieldy.

I would drop the Omega 300 from my list. It is bigger and heavier than it needs to be.
I would pick the EVO if I was price sensitive. I might pick up two.

The Scythe (or a similar can) would be my #1 pick by a mile.

You are correct. Right now our local sporting goods has 3 of them in stock.

I believe there was a recall issued for the evo for a certain serial number range. May be worth looking into if you’re considering it.

Well, I pulled the trigger on the Evo today. Price point, availability and overall value drove the decision. Scythe would have been the number one choice but couldn’t pass up $680 including tax stamp.
I’ll be sure to report back the results. Thanks again everyone.
