Sig Sauer P320 Issues

I am guessing every dealer worth a damn is aware of this. I now have a $700 paperweight. There is no way I'm carrying this with one in the pipe, I guess i could carry it this fall w/o a round in the chamber?!?

With an empty chamber pull a small amount of slack out of the trigger and press the slide and lower together behind the front sight. See if it does dry fire. Either way I wouldn’t carry it until a solution comes out

I agree, I was raised right, I never point a firearm at anything I wouldn't want to die. There seems to be something going on with the 320, but as of now I'm not joining the lynch mob.

And we don't actually know any real details on the airman incident. Mostly speculation. What it seems we've been told was that he set the pistol down pointing at his chest....???

That in and of itself is strange. I assume most people are like me and can count the number of times they've done that on zero hands. Not sure what to think of it.

I'm not dismissing the incidents. As I stated earlier, there does seem to be something strange with 320s compared to other pistols, but it's still not clear what exactly it is. I have a hunch a heavier trigger return spring and a trigger safety might solve it.

Unless there is video of the shooting, we are unlikely to know whether the rumors are true.
1) The victim cannot testify. Even if he could, human nature is likely to mean he would blame the gun rather than his own actions for the ND.

2) The fact it was pointed at his chest suggests overall poor training.

3) If there are any eyewitnesses, all eyewitnesses knowingly or unknowingly make false statements. People do not take in information like video cameras. We take in part of the information available and gap fill in missing information.

The Air Force has the actual gun and holster available for testing. What if they cannot replicate the "it just went off" in the holster scenario?

FWIW I've been watching GB and the used prices are lower. My WCP320 is now selling used for about $700 - or less. Could be worse I suppose.

I went to Scheels in KC weekend before last and all the used P320's in 9mm were $399. There were no 10mm's in stock and they offered me $175 cash and $200 in trade for my 10mm, which i passed.

Update to the Air Force incident.

Air Force makes arrest in airman’s shooting death involving M18 pistol

The arrested airman is accused of multiple crimes, including involuntary manslaughter, the Air Force said.

I am shocked the rumors might not have been 100% accurate.
