Sierra 107 TMK Load Data

Would 1800 FPS apply to these for a minimum expansion velocity?
Or not enough info yet?

I can’t say definitively, but testing has shown- and what I’ve seen; I think it could be quite a bit lower than that.

The issue maybe lack of penetration. One gentleman I’m aware of shot quite a few animals with the 142gr 6.5 and they upset very violently he stated.

Coming apart before it gets to where it needs to be?

Thanks.

On bigger African plains game with the 142gr MKX- no exits, only one or two made it to the offside hide, several barely damaged the offside lunge. On smaller mains game they all exited and damage was excellent.

Finally got around to spinning an 1:8 twist factory tikka barrel on my t3x, 20". The first 150 rounds were pretty ho-hum, velocity and accuracy wise. Probably 2-3 moa with all loads. Shot 115 bergers terrible, like 5"-6" groups. Shot 107tmks terrible with h1000 and staball 6.5. Had trouble breaking 2800fps with everything except staball 6.5, which produced great velocity, but groups were 3"+.
Like many other 243 users in this thread, I started to see some promise with h4350, and longer c.o.a.l. settled on 40.5 gr h4350, 2.93" coal, CCI 200. Also have a load for 40.5gr imr4831 with everything else the same. The 4831 load is now at 2770fps average, and 1.5-1.8moa for 10 shots. I need to chrono the 4350 load again, as I believe the barrel has now sped up a bit (204 rounds down the pipe). The first test I did with it averaged 2834fps. I think 4350 will have a slight velocity and accuracy edge over the 4831. H4350 is the only power so far to give me 10 shot groups less than 1.5moa (1.25).
I now have an 8lb keg of h4350 ordered, need to get some more tmks now, lol. Also, interestingly, shot a 10 shot group with 107smk's, 40.5 imr4831, 2.88" (jammed) that was just over an inch. The accuracy really began to settle down after about 170 rounds or so.
