Shooting Tripod for NRL Hunter

The CMX is plenty tall for a shooting off of and glassing with an angled spotter while standing. If you are a giant you may have issues, but for most folks it is plenty tall.

Definitely not a giant. Glassing right now will be Binos.

At 9” longer I have been telling myself it’s worth the trade to be able to stand up and glass or shoot.

Yeah, I'm short, so I don't have that problem. The CMX would probably work great for me especially for gaming/comp use.

I'd love a 3 section inverted that's 24" or so tall when folded for hunting. I'm currently using the SA-364 when hunting and shooting comps.

I have a 404 and a ma30l that I am kicking around selling. I don't gamer shoot so it's surplus to me. I actually prefer the mh heads for my style.

How do the mh heads compared to Aziak, do you have experience with those?

I would not consider the SO282-CMX tall enough to glass/shoot standing. Yes, with an angled spotter or on flat ground with a slight bend at hips, it could do both fine. It's too short for bino glassing standing for me (5'10") on flat ground, much less situations with a downslope in the direction you're glassing which I find myself in frequently.

It is my current hunting glassing/shooting tripod though. I would like to shorten the legs a few inches so it's not as long on the pack. I've seen others refer to the 3 section tricer as a nice option. For full on gaming, a beefier tripod is nice.
