Shipping meat

I know this is all over the moose thread, but has anybody killed and shipped meat back home?

I'm thinking a cheap cooler or something similar and fed ex or ups the frozen meet back (assuming I can get it frozen in time).

I've packed coolers and checked them the same as you would a checked bag when flying. Depending on the airline, it may be cheaper than shipping.

Was also doing this research... it seems that checking it on the airline is the way to go! Just have use the lightest cooler possible to fit more meat and keep it within their weight restrictions.
