Hi Everyone,

New user here, I am curious and looking for some insight on the kill zone size of sheep(heart, lungs). Is there anatomy similar to that of a deer in that you want to follow the leg up and about 1/3 up the animal? If it helps this would be for archery hunting and specifically Mouflon Sheep in Hawaii.

Any help is greatly appreciated

here are few links and pictures for you:

hope this will help as a good start.

I killed 3 sheep in the past 5 years. They just die quicky, nothing special.
Aoudad just sat down, and died with the broadside hit.
Ewe Big Horn was hit too far back, but rolled 400 yards down a mountain, and the roll killed her.
Mouflon texas heart shot resulted in an internal explosion, and instant death.
all 1 shot kills.

Yes, that is about right on shot placement. The “vital v” placement has worked on dozen or so sheep I have seen killed, from mouflon, aoudad, red sheep, blue sheep, to dall sheep.
