Before I order theirs anyone running something else with a SG frame? My only reservation about it is I would like something where I can put my rifle back without removing my pack. Or is it possible to do so with theirs? Doesn't look like it from the video.

Not a fan of Stone Glaciers sling. I actually lost a chance at an elk last year because of it. When you pull the release strap, it would then get caught under my rifle scope as I took the rifle out, and I couldn't get the rifle off the pack. Elk saw me struggling to get it off, and ran off. Sucked. Maybe just a freak thing with me, but happened a couple times. Love the packs, not the sling. I like the rifle in front of me so I don't have to reach.

The Kifaru works fine with a SG frame. I was interested in trying out the SG gun sling but theirs was unavailable for a while. I prefer the Kifaru to Kuiu's by a wide margin, which you could make work also if you wanted to.

I just bought the SG sling and gave it a couple tries in the living room. I don't think you would have an easy time putting the rifle back in without taking the pack off - trying to thread the pull strap through the clamp behind your head would take some practice. However, I chose it because I didn't like the idea of having the gun sticking out forward under my arm like thw kifaru.

It'll take some practice getting the grip right to flip the gun forward when you release it. Mine tends to get back in the basket that holds the gun.

I use the Kifaru sling because I like having my rifle up under my arm for accessibility, and if I want to strap it to the pack (behind my shoulder), I can easily do that as well. I don't have any experience with the SG sling.

I prefer the SG because I have to use my hands a lot hiking and I would get stuck on bunch of stuff if it stuck ou in front of me. I will say when I am actively hunting and pretty much any daylight hours my rifle is out of the sling because any sling strapped to a pack is too slow for quick opportunities.
